Sustainability Plan
Our sustainability program focuses on four key areas: natural environment, socioeconomics, lodge infrastructure, and guests and rooms.
Preserving Nature & Wildlife
We strive to minimize our environmental impact by protecting the local flora and fauna. Our eco-tour guides are trained to promote conservation awareness among guests and within the surrounding communities. We also collaborate with wildlife conservation organizations to help protect endangered species.
Guests can experience Khao Sok’s biodiversity through eco-friendly activities such as our self-guided Anurak Trail and complimentary bicycles to explore nearby villages. We encourage responsible exploration while ensuring the delicate rainforest ecosystem remains undisturbed.
Supporting Local Communities
As part of our community-driven tourism approach, we prioritize hiring local staff and sourcing food, crafts, and services from small businesses. This helps create jobs, support families, and strengthen the local economy. Our ongoing staff training programs also build long-term career opportunities and empower local communities.
- Water & Energy Conservation: We encourage natural room ventilation and have removed bathtubs to reduce excessive water use.
- Waste Reduction: Single-use plastics are minimized, and all menus, napkins, and printed materials use recycled paper.
- Organic Garden & Local Sourcing: We grow our own vegetables, herbs, and fruits while supporting local farmers to provide fresh, sustainable ingredients.
