Cycling has always been one of the best ways to see the countryside and that is certainly the case on our Cycling Adventure through Khao Sok National Park. Using high-quality mountain bikes we travel along small country roads where you can stop at your leisure to take photos of the amazing scenery and the fascinating wildlife that your guide will point out to you along the way. Because Anurak Community Lodge is situated in a valley, the route we take is reasonably flat. All around the rolling jungle rises up to the mountain peaks looming overhead – an awe-inspiring sight!
Our route will take you through villages where you can see how local people live, and there are plenty of opportunities to stop, drop by the local village store, or chat with villagers who are always very friendly and curious to know about you too! We also visit a local fruit orchard where your guide will show you a variety of exotic Thai fruit being cultivated. We also pass through palm oil and rubber plantations – two major crops cultivated in the south of the country. There will be a chance to learn more about the history of these crops, neither of which are indigenous to Thailand. Our final destination is a small temple shrine in a cave where your guide will talk to you about the importance of Buddhism.
After feeding the local red tail carp and taking more photos, you will cycle back to Anurak Community Lodge.
