Tam Kaew Crystal Cave & Canoe

Go off-grid with Khlong Phanom Rangers on a quiet jungle trek. Discover hidden trails and rich biodiversity—just you, the forest, and true local insight.

This adventure is not for the faint-hearted—physical fitness is essential as the terrain around and inside the cave is steep, slippery, and requires maneuvering through tight spaces. Located just 10 minutes from Anurak, your journey begins at the Fish Cave Temple, where you’ll start your challenging trek up to the awe-inspiring Tam Kaew Crystal Cave.

Inside the cave, be prepared to climb and navigate uneven surfaces while marveling at stunning stalagmites and stalactites that sparkle under the beam of your flashlight. Travel back in time millions of years as you observe marine fossils embedded in the rocks—remnants of an ancient ocean. After exploring the cave, we’ll head to the Khlong Phanom National Park headquarters for a well-deserved lunch break before continuing our journey to the river.

Once we reach the river, board your canoe for a relaxing float downstream while keeping an eye out for monkeys, snakes, and lizards. Depending on the river and weather conditions, you may even have the opportunity to take a refreshing dip.
