Cheow Lan Lake, also known as Ratchaprabha Dam Reservoir, is a beautiful 165 km² body of water in Khao Sok National Park that is a major attraction for visitors to Khao Sok. At the lake entrance, it is possible hire local boats for day trips, as well as to stay in overnight accommodation at one of the many floating raft houses located on the lake itself. These government and privately owned raft houses are an ideal way to enjoy the lake’s spectacular natural surroundings and observe the diverse variety of wildlife.
There are all sorts of activities to take part in, from trekking to visiting waterfalls and caves, kayaking and even rock climbing. We offer full-day and overnight (2 days/1 night) programs to Cheow Lan Lake that include trekking into the pristine jungle along local trails. During both the day and overnight trip, you will visit a raft house where you will have time to swim and relax, or rent a kayak and explore the lake’s beautiful surroundings.
