Anurak Lodge Cooking Class

Thai cuisine is one of the most famous in the world. Made from fresh ingredients, Thai dishes are delicious and healthy. Here in Anurak Lodge we give you an opportunity to learn how to make a perfect base for an authentic Thai dinner.

Meet your chef – Parisa. After graduating from Ubonrachartani University in Bangkok with a degree in Liberal Arts, Parisa went to travel the world. During her adventures, she discovered her true passion – cooking. She ended up running a successful Thai restaurant in Shanghai. After several years in China, Parisa returned back to Thailand to manage Anurak Lodge restaurant, and to educate our guests about Thai cuisine.

Tour itinerary

During the Anurak Cooking class you will learn what herbs and plants are used in Thai cuisine – Parisa will show you her small herb garden she’s organized on the territory of the Lodge. You will master making perfect Massaman curry paste from the scratch. Most households in Thailand have rice cookers, but the chef will teach how to make rice without using one. For the appetizer you will make fresh flower spring rolls – a Southern Thailand specialty. Then it will be time to cook the main dish: grilled meat or grilled vegetables. And for the dessert you’ll have famous Thai sticky rice with mango.

At the end of the course Parisa will collect your email addresses: you will receive all recipes and photos from her.
